We all know this struggle when we arrive to the new city, and we have no clue what should be see first...Branderburg Tor? Where is East Side Gallery? Should I book alternative tour around Kreuzberg? We are here to answer all of your questions. Our team prepared for you a list of 5 classic, which you HAVE to see in Berlin. Are you ready?
1. Reichtag Kuppel
Want to have a panoramic view over the town? Visit Reichtag’s glass dome which is seat of the German parliament, the Bundestag. Today a visit there is a must! The entrance is complete for free - just remember to book your tickets in advance on this website : https://visite.bundestag.de/ BAPWeb/pages/createBookingRequest.jsf?lang=en. You can as well book a tour and learn a bit about German Goverment.
Pick up an audioguide at the entrance to the dome and listen amazing stories about berlins’ most famous places.
2. it’s not really a proper place, but...Doner!
Lunch break is important. Our absolute favorite places are definitely :
- Doner at S-Bahnhof Friedrichstarasse
- Mustafa Doner at Merringdamm
- Doner at Kopernicker Str. (grab if after visit in Berlin oldest Techno Club - Tresor)
They do offer vegetarian and vegan options (hallumi/falafel) *PRO TIP
If you are sucker for vegan food, try Voner (https://www.facebook.com/Voener/) on Boxhagener Strasse.
3. Branderburg Tor and Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe
It’s time for some history! From our hostel, you can take a walk thru beautiful Tiergarten to the most iconic place in Berlin - Brandenburg Tor. We advise you to visit Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe, which is located 3 minutes from Brandenburg Tor. Pay respect and visit underground museum located under the Memorial (for free!).
4.Courtyard of Haus Schwarzenberg
Never heard of it while doing research? Well it’s one of this hidden spots, which locals don’t want you to know about! Colorful space, full of graffiti and inspiring posters is a place of Anne Frank Zentrum, cinema and couple of bars. Go to Hackescher Markt and find an entrance near Cafe Cinema...you are welcome :)
5. East Side Gallery
East Side Gallery as a remained part of Berlin Wall is a perfect example of today’s Berlin - the city, whose remarkable history inspired people to fight for their freedom and incredible representation of world-known street art. Take a walk near Spree, enjoy the sun, local music and incredible par
